Building Libraries Program

Our Beliefs

  • Books are powerful tools for connection, identity, and opportunity.

  • Communities are rich with knowledge, culture, and story.

  • Meaningful, high-quality books should be readily accessible within the community.

  • Literacy is foundational to long-term well-being and opportunity.

  • Every child deserves access to books that reflect their lived experiences and celebrate their identities.

  • Developing readers thrive with engaging, high interest texts and materials grounded in the Science of Reading.

  • Books can strengthen the impact of trusted community partners.
